It took about 12 hours, or less, because I did it when I was going to sleep and when I checked it early the next day it was done. I also had to change my linked email address because the original was a throw away that was compromised by yahoo, so I linked it to a throw away from another company. As to using this for netflix, I cannot figure out why one would want to access netflix through a vpn unless it is blocked in your country. When set to Brazil, I cannot get english language yahoo, it is in Spanish.
As to not blocking your IP address, I have run many different IP address sites, and all have my IP address wrong. I paid this a few weeks back for a different web site. ((i know they have some kinda data breach 4 years back but really wasnt worried and am not worried about that kinda thing)) been with them for about 5 years now usually get it when its on special but forget when i need to renew.I have this and I like it. they give 5 logins and have pretty decent speeds around the world. Either way, lets assume you are right and they are wrong, the only option you really have is to take them to court or to file a complaint with the local district attorney calling out how the company broke the law and if that public officer gets enough complaints from enough people, they MIGHT take action against the company, but its never going to get you anything past giving the company a minor fine many years from now. My guess is they are meeting it as the "lifetime" was likely referring to the service offering or some other definition they made up and defined in that agreement which you didn't read carefully enough. Your only option is to read the contract that came with that lifetime agreement and take whatever actions are allowed within that agreement to force them to honor the agreement. BBB and their complaints mean nothing and a company can ignore them just as much as they can ignore complaints on yelp or bing or google. IMO they have made bank off people dying, people unable to jump thru hoops, some just give in and lastly they have removed features from my account steadily past 3yrs. I also said it's disgusting they are doing this during end covid pandemic.
They said they refuse to honor agreement but can offer me a free membership in a new VPN service they have. I went to said place & they never responded. 1st contact they said they don't so that go to xx. They said every 5yrs I would need to remind them to renew my account. Long story short I purchased a Lifetime membership with PureVPN.
